Tips to Explore Toadstool Geological Park Toadstool geologic park is known for its unusual geological formation that give the appearance of toadstools. It is a great place to hike, and you may even see signs of fossils that go back as far as 30 million years ago. it is located in the OGLALA national grasslands in northwestern Nebraska. It contains badlands landscape, which I think most people wouldn’t expect outside of badlands national park. You could even call it the badlands of Nebraska or the desert of the Pine Ridge it is north of Crawford Nebraska.
