Day 1 check into your hotel or resort, try to be within walking distance to the beach if you can. Once you drop your stuff, head to the beach and enjoy a long walk. Lunch options are plentiful, though waterfront options are limited if you are looking for a quick snack to get back to the beach the Siesta Key Beach Pavilion, don’t forget a pina colada, you are on vacation after all. If you are looking a bit more upscale hit up Summer House Steak and Seafood, the tartar is perfect no matter where you hit, make sure you hit up Meaney’s Mini Donuts for dessert they are fresh made pieces of heaven every time!
Siesta Key Beach Sunset
The piece de resistance is the sunset on Siesta Key, you could not ask for a more perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of nature. Once the sun has set, its time for dinner and drinks, if you are staying where there is a kitchen, the local store has some great options to make a quick meal.

Day 2 The Local Bean has some great options for a quick grab and go breakfast, or you could hit up Another Broken Egg Café for a sit down option. Today is all about relaxing, if that means kayaking or paddleboarding today is your day. All water sports are an option, but it does get very busy during the winter months, so book ahead if you come during high season.
Top things to remember, even if it is cloudy the sun will burn you, wear the sunscreen, you’ll thank me later!
Book the tours in advance, but if you are just looking to get around the island The Siesta Key Breeze is a free trolley that goes from the southern end of Siesta Key to the Village, where there are so many cute shops.
Weekend mornings there is a farmers market in the village area with cute pop up shops from local vendors. It is a great opportunity to support local, and getting some walking in before worshipping the sun some more, (re-apply the sunscreen I beg you!!)
Finally, the best thing ever is the Sunday night drum circle, an hour before sunset the drummers come and have a great time. It is family friendly and enjoyable, and is a fun option on a Sunday night.
